2017 Firehouse Renovations
Since 1980, we have had the privilege to be a part of an amazing community, with the best people, in one of the most beautiful places on earth. We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to build long lasting relationships throughout this community and with our incredibly loyal guests for 37 years.
25 years ago, The Firehouse underwent a major renovation project and closed for two weeks. That project included a major kitchen addition, the engine room (waiting area), and a whole new dining room on the west side of the building. The goal; make improvements to the 1930 Walnut St. Fire Hall that would give us the ability to better serve our guests. It was an ambitious and necessary project that accomplished everything we had hoped it would.
For several years, we have been planning how to best use the remaining available space we have to better serve our guests. After looking at many different possibilities on the property at 627 West Walnut St., we settled on a plan and have been sharpening that plan for quite some time. The project focuses on upgrading and expanding the now 25 year old kitchen, expands the capacity of the carryout business and creates a few other unique opportunities for the restaurant.
We are very excited about the opportunity that this project creates for our Company and our incredible team. Firehouse Catering will remain open and operate fully June 12 - 26 (excluding Sundays). We will post updates on Facebook periodically during this time. For an inside look at the project, check out @thefirehouse on INSTAGRAM, where will be posting behind the scenes photos of all that is happening.
We eagerly look forward to RE-OPENING on JUNE 27th and seeing serving you again soon.
